My experience at the fort

We had planned an overnight stay package. The day trip is enough if you are short of time, plan for a night stay to explore the beauty of the Fort. The entrance will make you feel entering back to the history, making you imagine how lucky people were to stay in such a beautiful place.

The guest room was a complete luxury to make you feel like a Royal. The room allotted to us was “Mata Mahal”. It was more spacious for a family of four, with all the required amenities. The thing I liked most was the terrace that opened through the room, giving the maximum view of the palace, the village & the city left far behind . The children had window side beds.

We were lucky that though it was summer, it rained that day making our trip more enjoyable. The first half day we spend in swimming pool for an hour. Then had an evening tea at the palace terrace. Since the rain had covered the sun, we simply roamed around the fort. There are sit outs in each area to sit and relax, admiring the beauty. The trees planted in huge pots, the flowers at every place & green lawns were so colorful & soothing to the eyes. Walking on the lawn bare foot was so relaxing. I remember one room, called Sheesh Mahal, was decorated from outside with doors and windows of different colored glass, blue flooring, with blue cushioned relaxed chair, made the surrounding so beautiful.

We reach the suryast point, a part of the palace named so from where one can sit & view the sunset. The beautiful view of sunset was another eye catcher, as if the sun is taking away our worries of that day saying tomorrow will come with a new beginning, as if life has came to standstill, everyone settled down, the bird migrating back to their place, the sunlight though departing from us spreading its beautiful shades of light didn’t made us realize that the sun had already set to awake people at some other part of the world.

In the evening there was a small entertainment program on the terrace, local singer singing folk songs, arranged with food and drinks, on our choice. There go a small narrow staircase up to a small terrace to a beautiful view of village lighten with blue shade. The entire palace was lighten up enhancing its beauty. The second day equally kept us busy.

The palace has two pools, one for children along with adult & other only for adults. It also had a spa with services and exciting offers .It had a TV room, along with indoor games like table tennis, carrom etc. It has a library for book lovers. There is also a souvenir shop with huge collections of things, from clothes to crockery, jewelry & many more attractive things. If you forget to get your swimming costume, you can buy over there.

It has a restaurant within the palace with serving delicious food. We had a complimentary buffet breakfast with many varieties to choose from & a complimentary evening tea with cookies.

The entire trip to the Neemrana fort palace was one of the most memorable one of our life. We wish to visit the place once again.
